You don't find friends in a group chat.
You find them at a table.
TableMates suggests small meetups near you, with people who like the same things you do. What, where and when is already settled. All you do is say yes.

How it works
The effort a meetup usually costs, who, where, when, and who tells everyone, is on us, not on you.
Interests, your area, when you're actually free. Set it once, and you don't have to think it over again every Friday.
The right people, one concrete thing to do together, and a place that's open then. Delivered as a suggestion, not a search result.
One button: “I'm in.” After that, just show up. The reminder comes by itself, the rest you sort out on the spot.
What's different
A first meetup with twelve people isn't a meetup, it's an event where nobody talks to anyone. Four seats is the default.
What kind of place and which neighbourhood: you see that right away. The exact address comes 24 hours before, and only if you're in.
Beforehand there are building blocks instead of free text: “Running 10 minutes late”, “I'm sitting at the back on the left”. Enough to find each other. The rest happens at the table.
No swiping, no rating profiles. You get concrete meetups: have a look, say yes or move on.
We store the area you live in, picked from a list. No coordinates, no live location, no map you show up on.
If you get along, you swap numbers and carry on wherever you like, here or elsewhere. TableMates measures itself by good evenings, not by minutes spent in the app.
“Bring your social life back: find new people, keep the good ones.”
The sentence everything is built around. TableMates creates the occasions, the first meetup with strangers as much as the next evening with people you've already found here. What comes of it is yours.Get the app
